Attorney Jason Mullikin focuses his practice on criminal defense. Throughout his legal career, he has represented individuals facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives, guiding clients through investigations, criminal charges, plea negotiations, evidentiary hearings, and murder trials. His vast experience as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of Missouri gives him firsthand insight into Missouri courtrooms and the strategies prosecutors use when pursuing criminal charges.

Jason understands that being accused of a crime can be overwhelming. Whether you have been charged with a misdemeanor, felony, DWI, drug offense, assault, domestic violence allegation, probation violation, or another criminal offense, he believes every client deserves a strong advocate and a defense strategy tailored to the facts of their case.

A Mid-Missouri native, Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri in 2016 before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2021. He was admitted to practice law in Missouri in 2021 and is a member of The Missouri Bar.

Before joining Ernst Law LLC, Jason served as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of Missouri and in private practice. He has represented individuals accused of criminal offenses throughout Mid-Missouri. As a public defender, he handled a substantial criminal caseload and regularly appeared in Missouri courts advocating for clients facing serious criminal allegations. That experience taught him the importance of thorough preparation, effective courtroom advocacy, and clear communication with clients and their families.

At Ernst Law LLC, Jason's works closely with clients to explain the legal process, evaluate available defenses, negotiate with prosecutors when appropriate, and aggressively litigate cases when necessary. He believes every case deserves personal attention and every client deserves to have their side of the story heard.
